UKA Champs 2026

Momentum Sports · 23 June 2026

The Novuna UK Athletics Championships (British Champs) took place at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham over the weekend, with four Momentum Sports athletes heading to the event to take on the very best in the country.

It’s one of the biggest dates of the domestic calendar, and this year carried even more weight than usual — the Championships doubled as the trial event for the European Athletics Championships, returning to the very same stadium in August. To be lining up among the nation’s top athletes is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we were proud to see four of our athletes out there competing.

All four were in action on the Saturday.

In the men’s 100m, Sam Ige (@belgraveharriers) ran a time of 10.67s into a headwind — a strong run made all the tougher by the conditions on the day.

In the women’s 100m, Anya Anderson (@momentumtrackclubuk) clocked 12.26s, also battling into a headwind down the home straight.

Gracelyn Kendeck (@bbharriersac) lined up in the 400m hurdles and produced a seasons best — a great way to take on a tricky event at this level.

And Rebecca Keddie (@momentumtrackclubuk) completed the 800m in a time of 2:07.82, rounding off a brilliant day of racing for the team.

A huge effort from all four to take to the track at a championships of this calibre.

Well done to everyone 👏🧡
