The Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting returns on Sunday 30th August 2026 at the Weir Archer Athletics and Fitness Centre, Kingston Road, Kingston-upon-Thames, KT1 3PB, and entries are now live on Open Track. Whether you are an experienced competitor chasing a personal best or a young athlete stepping onto the track for one of the first times, this is a day not to be missed.

Now in its fourth year, the Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting has become one of the highlights of the Momentum Sports calendar. What started as a tribute event has grown into something genuinely special — a day that brings together athletes of all ages and abilities in a fun, competitive and incredibly welcoming environment. The lemon cake helps too. More on that in a moment.

This year we are proud to announce that the Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting is part of the European Masters Athletics League 2026. Full details of the league can be found at european-masters-athletics.org/ema-league-2026, and it is a fantastic addition to what is already a great day of athletics.

The event is open to a wide range of age groups with something for everyone. For U14s and upwards, track events include the 100m, 200m and 800m. U16s and above can also enter the 300m, 400m, Mile and 3000m. Entry fees are £14 for the first event and £11 for every additional event, with a discount available for Momentum Track Club members. For the youngest athletes, open graded events for U10 and U12 age groups will feature the 75m and 600m, priced at £8 per event or £14 for both. Medals will be awarded for all Kestrel events for U10s and U12s, so there is plenty to compete for right across the age groups.

Speaking of prizes — this year there are more of them than ever. Prizes will be awarded for the best U14, U16, U18 and U20 performances of the day, and cash prizes will be up for grabs for the best overall performances based on World Athletics ranking points. We also offer free downloadable photos after the meeting for all athletes to share on social media, because every great performance deserves a great photo to go with it.

And then there is the lemon drizzle cake.

In honour of Bob Lewis himself, a lemon drizzle cake — his favourite — will be awarded to the best age graded 400m performance by a Masters athlete on the day. It has become one of the most talked-about prizes in the event and a fitting tribute to a man who was loved by so many in the sport. If you are a Masters athlete with a good 400m in your legs, get your entry in.

For those who need accommodation or are travelling from further afield, travel and local hotel information is available via the link in our bio.

Bob Lewis was a great supporter of athletes and athletics at all levels, as well as being a wonderful runner himself. He was a European Masters Games Champion over 400m and is remembered with enormous warmth and respect by many people in the sport. We are honoured that his family are happy for his name to be associated with this meeting, in memory of everything he gave to athletics and the people around him. The silhouette in our meeting logo is of Bob himself — a small but meaningful detail that we hope captures just a little of the spirit he brought to everything he did.

Hosting this event in Bob's name means a great deal to everyone at Momentum Sports, and each year we try to make it worthy of that honour. The fact that it keeps growing — more athletes, more age groups, more prizes, and now part of the European Masters Athletics League — is something we are incredibly proud of.

So if you are ready for a fun-filled day of athletics, PB opportunities and a fantastic atmosphere, get your entry in now via Open Track. We would love to see as many of you there as possible on the 30th August and we'll see you on the start line 🎉
