How to use Online Training
The main section within the online training that you will be using is the diary section.
Upon entering your diary, you will be taken to the current week. Within this you will see all the sessions that you have been set for that week. If you wish to move forwards or backwards in the diary simply use the buttons near the top of the page.
The way that your sessions have been set up is to give you an overview on the main dairy page and then more information if you press “Details” for any of the sessions. When you do this you will see much more information with specifics of what you have to do and boxes where you can fill in details of what you managed to achieve. The information that you fill in will be used as the basis for the sessions that will be set for you in the future.
At the bottom of this page there is a comments box. Here you should record any information that may help in the future; eg how you felt, weather conditions, if you had to stop without completing the session, or if you had to run the session on a different day etc. You can record a comment in here of up to 100 characters.
We enter your forthcoming sessions as soon as we can, although you must give us ample time to see what you have done for previous sessions. Normally 24 hours will be sufficient, although occaisionly it may take a little longer than this. The more you keep your diary up to date, the more we will be able to help you by setting the most appropriate sessions. Aim to complete it at least once a week, every two to three days would be even better.
If you wish to view the results of some of your previous sessions, to save you trawling back through the diary, you can use the second option and select on sessions from a particular month or from sessions of a particular sort.
The next option that is available to you at the moment are to view your aims for the season. If you feel that you would like to change these, again e-mail your intentions to the coaches e-mail address, which is the fifth option on the list.
The other thing you can do is tell us about any forthcoming competitions that you are competing in. We will then make sure that this is included in the diary and also that the training you receive up to the race is tapered to help you achieve the best result possible.
We are sure that there will be other things that you feel are not ideal for you use to be as easy as possible. There are several changes in progress at the moment, but as this is a relatively new service we are still open to suggestions at the coaches e-mail address.
Very occasionally we experience problems with you service from our ISP. If you need your session and the site is not available, please e-mail us and we will reply to you as quickly as we can.
