Choosing the Best Running Socks
Choosing a running sock isn't quite as simple as you might think.
Clearly it is mainly something to go over your foot and keep your feet and lower leg warm. Standard, old-fashioned sports socks are very simple. However, it is now possible to get socks that are properly fitted to each foot (a separate one for left and right).
Running Sock Types
- Regular Socks - standard socks which come part way up the shin.
- Socklets - only come as high as the ankle bone and fit inside the trainer.
- Anti-Blister Socks - have two layers of material to prevent rubbing.
- Compression socks - hold the muscles of the calf tight and help increase circulation and reduce injury.
